On Repeat: Princeton – The Waves.

Princeton if you haven’t heard them are from California and make glorious, intelligent sunshine pop. I could probably make music as uplifitng as this if I lived in California. No that’s an outright lie, I’d still suck.

For Fans Of: Vampire Weekend, Brazos, The Leisure Society.

This is the still oven hot new video for their song ‘The Waves’ taken from surely the best debut EP of 2008 ‘Bloomsbury’.  The EP is about a collective of literary figures and artists including, to name a few, Virginia Woolf, John Maynard and Desmond McCarthy, that met regularly in the Bloomsbury area of London around 1904 to discuss art, literature and to sleep together of course!

Princeton are still unsigned (not for long I suspect) but you can buy the EP straight from the band through paypal or through iTunes if it serves you better. I paid $7 for mine back when the pound was actually worth something and they sent it all the way from The States themselves, making me feel a little like I’d swindled them but now thanks to Gordon Brown and co you don’t have the same worry!
