We Have Band @ Pianos. I have a hangover and blame We Have Band. Nikki I saw the boy, boy, girl trio at Pianos in the Lower East Side last night and oh (OH OH) they were so brilliant we had to celebrate with rum.
The Londoners were playing their second ever US gig on their second day in the city so things, you can see, are going well. Masters of the synth and fans of a cowbell (hello Friendly Fires), We Have Band are drums and bass in the best possible way with collaborative vocals that bind it perfectly. ‘You Have Band’ and the single ‘Oh’ were particular highlights, and the cover of Pet Shop Boys, ‘West End Girls’ was a genius interlude.
‘Oh’ is their only single release to date but expect to see and hear a lot more from We Have Band in the coming months. They are, as the Americans say, ‘so hot right now’.
