    Telekinesis @ Merge Records Party, The Parish. Telekinesis from Seattle, Washington was one of the word of mouth successes of SXSW 2009. Having been recommended them by a few people independently, I finally caught up with them on the last day.

    Harlem @ Beauty Bar Backyard. Harlem were everything I hoped Wavves would be when I saw them last month back in London. And then some. Intelligent punk tunes with great vocal hooks like ‘I hate every book I’ve ever read’.
