What? Crystal Stilts are just one of Brooklyn’s many rising stars from the past year but one worth noting. They play dark but uplifting, reverb heavy surf tinged, psychedelic guitar tunes with front man Brad’s Joy Division underwater style vocals. Check them out at this Club AC30 night. For Fans Of: Joy Division, Deerhunter, Women.
Their album Alight Of Night was one of the best of 2008 according to me and many others. Probably the coolest band you’ll see in a while!
Support: Comes from Brighton’s Shrag and the minimalist punk rhythms and shoegaze of Oslo’s Maribel.
