The Horrors @ Electric Ballroom, June 5th.

What? You remember the impossibly skinny jeans wearing London lot The Horrors who rose to fame very quickly back in 2007? Weren’t your cup of tea? Don’t be put off completely as they’re back with their first album for new label XL recordings and there’s even whispers of greatness on the air. For Fans Of: The Cure, Joy Division, Jesus and Mary Chain.

Comeback single ‘Sea Within A Sea’ clocks in at almost eight minutes and is a gloriously dark disco number taken from second album, ‘Primary Colours’, out May 4th. It evokes everyone from The Cure to early Brian Eno and it’s been produced by Geoff Barrow of Portishead and film maker Chris Cunningham. It’s been receiving rave reviews so far, take a listen for yourself through the streaming gadget below. Come June expect this to be the hottest ticket in town.
