Lo Fi Fnk + Casio Kids @ Proud Gallery, May 16th.
Posted by: nick
What? Be Presents: Lo Fi Fnk (pronounced: LO-FI-FUNK), a Swedish duo who have been making music since they we were too young to get into the clubs that were playing it. That’s thankfully not a problem any more. Miss their glorious mix of skittering electronic bleeps, other-worldly-sounding vocals, and raw dance beats at your peril! For Fans Of: Crystal Castles, Daft Punk, Cut Copy.
Support:
Casio Kids of Norway play gorgeous electro tinged indie dance jams with hypnotising pop melodies and vocal harmonies in both Norwegian and English. They’re influenced by an eclectic mix of afro-beat, techno and, like seemingly all Scandinavians (admittedly usually the Swedes), full on pop.
For Fans Of: Paul Simon, Cornelius, New Order.
The Hundred In The Hands is composed of The Boggs’ Jason Friedman and touring bandmate Eleanore Everdell, they make the kind of hypnotic, tribal disco that you can dance long through the night to or as the band themselves put it “These are soundsystem-backed, foot stomping, clap hands beats for akimbo-limbed boogie kids. Ballrooms and bar floors are built strong, it’s time to give them a pounding.”
For Fans Of: Television, The Golden Filter.

Where? Proud Gallery, Camden.
