What? The Local presents: Chief/ Erland & The Carnival / She Keeps Bees. Chief are from new York but have more of a Southern Rock sound. Jangly guitar lines and heartfelt lyrics. Their Myspace claims they’re like the offspring of Grant Lee Buffalo and Oasis with Neil Young as the uncle. Interesting.
For Fans Of: My Morning Jacket, Neil Young, The Drive By Truckers.
Look out for the bands debut release through Domino in the UK, coming soon.
Main support is courtesy of the alt. folk of London’s Erland & The Carnival.
Opening the night is Brooklyn husband/wife duo She Keeps Bees. I’m not sure if she really does and I’m sure she wouldn’t bring them to the show anyway! Expect blues rock with one hell of a powerful female voice from front lady Jessica Larrabee.
For Fans Of: The Kills, Wildbirds & Peacedrums, The White Stripes.
When? Thursday, July 2nd. 7.30PM
Where? The Luminaire, Kilburn.
How Much? £7
