On Repeat: White Denim – Paint Yourself.

So you may have gathered White Denim played at Rough Trade on Monday, the same day they released their phenomenal new album ‘Fits’. It’s been a real struggle limiting it to about five spins a day max. It was also bloody hard to pick one track to share with you but we’ve done it! For Fans Of: Hendrix, Love.
‘Paint Yourself’ appears two thirds into the album and it’s been picked for a couple of reasons. First off it’s a great track and secondly it’s very different from the sound most people associate with White Denim. Listen yourself, there’s acoustic guitar and even hand claps for pete’s sake! It’s an example of how diverse the album is and how comfortable this super talented three-piece are trying their hand at any number of styles.
If it’s the garage power rock White Denim you’re more into then fear not the album has got plenty of that too. ‘I Start To Run’ and ‘Everybody Somebody’ are current favourites in this department.
