What? The Local presents: Eoin O’Ruainigh, Vadoinmessico & Alma NoFear. Vadoinmessico means I’m going to Mexico’ in Italian and befits an international five-piece fronted by the talented Giorgio Poti who has one of the most refreshing voices we’ve heard in a while. A kind of alternative, upbeat folk akin to a stripped down Arcade Fire perhaps.

For Fans Of: The Arcade Fire, Port O’Brien, Wildbirds & Peacedrums.

The video above is for the excellent ‘Cave’ and if you excuse the karaoke style subtitles it’s really pretty good.

Irish troubadour Eoin O’Ruainigh headlines the night and London based Swede Alma NoFear opens proceedings with more plucked folky goodness.
