On Repeat: Thee Oh Sees – Go Meet The Seed

The Oh Sees are from San Francisco and a scene that is spawning countless old school sounding garage rock’n'roll gems of late. It’s perfect music for the sunshine: melodic, loud and complete with catchy boy-girl vocals. ‘Go Meet The Seed’ is taken from their latest album ‘Help’, out on the prolific Into The Red Records who have also brought us the wonderful Strange Boys record this year.

For Fans Of: The Strange Boys, Harlem, The Smith Westerns.

Frontman John Dwyer is the man with the plan and he and The Oh Sees have been around in various incarnations (The Oh Sees, OCs, etc) over a career that’s spanned six albums already. The last couple of albums have seen them maintaining the rockier sound that you can hear on ‘Go Meet The Seed’ and the rest of the ‘Help’ album which we can highly recommend. Lovely female vocals courtesy of Brigid Dawson by the way.
