Wild Beasts @ The Garage, Oct 8th.
What? Wild Beasts are against the odds set to become one of the indie bands of 2009 and possibly beyond following the release of their second album ‘Two Dancers’. We’ve been fans of the Kendal four-piece since their theatrical Domino released debut ‘Limbo Panto’ and they’ve already treated us to one of the live performances of the year back in February.

The Oh Sees are from San Francisco and a scene that is spawning countless old school sounding garage rock’n'roll gems of late. It’s perfect music for the sunshine: melodic, loud and complete with catchy boy-girl vocals. ‘Go Meet The Seed’ is taken from their latest album ‘Help’, out on the prolific Into The Red Records who have also brought us the wonderful Strange Boys record this year.

Review: Grizzly Bear @ Koko, Aug 18th.
Grizzly Bear created a drug like euphoria for the sold out Koko crowd in Camden last night. Since they blew our minds at Scala in 2007 they’ve become pretty much the most critically acclaimed band on the planet, which means a lot of fresh faces in the crowd. Old fans and new alike are eager to see how the beautiful yet, as is the Grizzly way, not necessarily immediate, ‘Veckatimest’, would stand up live. // more
