Jonquil are a six piece who have been praised by Yannis Philippakis of fellow Oxford band Foals. You’d be forgiven for expecting a math rock assault but that ain’t really their bag. They have a similar musical muscle to Foals but they choose to flex it in a very different way.

Two guitars, an impressive drummer, synths, keyboard and a trumpet tooting bass player all topped off with a smooth, confident vocal delivery from front-man Hugo Manuel.
