Wave Machines, Post War Years @ St Leonard’s Church, Dec 5th.

What? Wave Machines and Livepool-London based live literature and fine art in performance collective Mercy bring their long running, much celebrated music and art night to London for Number 5 in their “Wave If You’re Really There” series and this time the theme is Marriage. Music wise there’ll be live sets from Wave Machines and the equally superb Post War Years.

For Fans Of: Hot Chip, Beck, Foals.

There will also be music from folk and digital innovators John Smith and Markus Soukup.

Here’s some of the official press spiel regarding the art side of which we will not pretend to be in the know:

“Curated in association with London’s much vaunted poetry collective Homework, audience members can look forward to a five hour mega-blend of some of the most fun and forward thinking music, poetry, live art and multi-media collaborations this country has to offer.  The venue will be dressed for the occasion by the 20 strong Mercy team and audience members will be encouraged to don their finest threads in keeping with the marriage theme.”
