Delphic @ Heaven, March 15th.
What? Delphic are everywhere at the moment and quite rightly so as their debut album Acolyte is an electronic diamond in the rough that is mainstream music. The Manchester boys apparently don’t want to move to London as there are too many people that dress like sailors but thankfully they’ll be back, if only for one night, to play Heaven in March.

Review: Local Natives @ Hoxton Square, Jan 19th.
It looks like it’s going to be a good year for LA’s Local Natives. Their debut album ‘Gorilla Manor’ got its UK release in Nov last year and looks like it’s going to gather steam in 2010 with their new single, the massive ‘Airplanes’, due out March 1st. Then there’s the small matter of a 33 date European tour which kicked off last night with a show at Hoxton Square Bar & Kitchen which sold out within minutes. // more

Yeasayer @ Koko, May 26th.
What? Yeasayer‘s second album ‘Odd Blood’ is due out on Feb 8th and is one of our tips for the top this year with the band apparently discovering the poppier side to their celebrated eccentricities. The band’s gig at Heaven in February is unsurprisingly sold out and with that in mind the Brooklynites announce this new date at the formidable Koko in May. A must see.

You Massive Radar – Bands of 2010 part 1
Here’s who’s got us excited about 2010. We’ve tried to leave off most of the BBC esque acts as you already know about them right? There may be a couple of crossovers though. And no we’re not going to use the term ‘ones to watch’ anywhere. Except there obviously. Let us know anyone we’ve missed as inevitably there will be a lot. Part 2 to follow soon. Download the whole mixtape at the bottom. // more
