Citadels – The Chemical Song
Citadels are set to release their second single The Chemical Song as a Pure Groove exclusive on March 1st. It’s been described as widescreen and spacey and both of these apply but most importantly it is absolutely MASSIVE! You’re going to be hearing a lot from this London band. Even the b-side is top notch.

We Are The World – Clay Stones
We Are The World feature on the first of a run of limited 7″ releases by hotter than the sun Los Angeles label IAmSound. Clay Stones is a ferocious, pounding disco tune that will leave you feeling a little violated but in a good way.

Girls @ Scala, Feb 23rd.
Girls won us over hook, line and sinker last year with their heartfelt West Coast pop and occasional but startlingly convincing forays into shoegaze. Among those captivated by the band’s debut were the NME who made the band headliners of one of their NME Awards Tour shows despite no actual award. So what would the kids think? Would there be any there?
