Merrill Garbus a.k.a. Tune Yards made one of the best debut albums of 2009, the beguiling ‘Bird Brains’, out through that somewhat legendary label 4AD. Part freak-folk bedroom musings, part lo-fi R’n'B diva and all delightfully crazy. Miss Tune Yards releases one of the album highlights ‘Real Live Flesh’ as a single on February 8th to coincide with a European tour kicking off in Brighton the day after. A suitably odd home-made video has been crafted too.
For Fans Of: M.I.A, Lykke Li, CocoRosie.The Real Live Flesh single is backed with non album track Youth. It’s supposedly coming out on 7″ but we’ll be damned if we can find out where you get it! For now you can pre-order it digitally from 7digital / amazon.
