Brooklynite Nicole Schneit’s band Air Waves open up for the also brilliant Tap Tap at The Windmill In Brixton tonight. Both Nicole’s music and lyrics are beautifully simple yet completely engrossing. Yes we’ll admit that we thought it was a guy singing the first time round (think Flaming Lips’ Wayne Coyne meets Forest Fire’s Mark Thresher) but that’s not a bad thing in our books. There are a few tickets left so snap them up now.

‘Lightning’ is taken from Air Waves self-titled EP which is out now through Catbird/TuneCore Records. Get it digitally through emusic. Every track on the EP is worth hearing though ‘Shine On’ is another clear stand out.
