What? Tickets are ON SALE NOW for one of the shows of the year featuring The Black Keys supported by The Walkmen at the Brixton Academy this November 2nd. The Ohio blues rock duo are back with a superb new album ‘Brothers’ which we can’t stop playing and some are hailing as their best effort yet. As if that wasn’t enough you get Brooklyn’s finest The Walkmen as an appetizer! A no brainer then.

Ace Texas label In The Red’s The Intelligence were supposed to be over from the States to headline this night but got detained at the French/UK border apparently. Oh well, we were there to see Dignan Porch anyway who had no trouble making the journey from Tooting to Angel incidentally.

Round Ron Virgin – Cowabungler
Today sees the soft-release (official one July 27th) of Round Ron Virgin’s debut album ‘Cowabungler’ through DIY label Records Records Records. RRV were one of the highlights of our last Music Mule Acoustic Consequences night and drawing in band members from Wet Paint, The Rumble Strips, Helsinki and The Coastguards you can hardly argue with this record’s folk calibre. Oh and it’s FREE!
