What? Next Thursday July 1st and Cargo host the annual War Child – ARMY OF YOU benefit. War Child aims to raise awareness and funds for children in the world’s most dangerous war zones – Iraq, Afghanistan, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda. This year’s lineup features Mercury Prize nominated The Invisible, London gloom merchants O.Children, Friendly Fires and Erol Alkan DJ sets and lots more. // more

Tanlines are Brooklyn experimental pop/dance duo Jesse Cohen and Eric Emm. Any band with sense of humour enough to make a World Cup Remix of their own track, ‘Real Life’, with added Vuvuzela is likely to get close to our hearts! If the gloriously uplifting poly-rhythmic tropical synth sounds of Tanlines don’t stir your soul then you’re as dead as France’s World Cup effort. Ooo la la.

Best Coast @ Cargo, Aug 2nd.
What? Hotly contested Best Coast have officially signed to Wichita Recordings, home to The Cribs amongst others. The West Coast duo of Bethany Cosentino and Bobb Bruno will be dropping their debut album ‘Crazy For You’ on August 2nd and playing a no doubt sold out show at Cargo in East London the same night.

Entrepreneurs – Revenge Platter
Entrepreneurs is a UK producer and remixer (Penguin Prison, Masks, Radiant Dragon) Adam M. Crisp, formerly of Elle Milano. Entrepreneurs has his own EP ‘Uv Been Robbed (Joking But Not Joking) scheduled for release this summer and ‘Revenge Platter’ is one of the tracks featured. We’re currently loving it’s late night, Beck meets Tom Vek, synth funk vibe.
