Dominant Legs – Clawing Out The Walls
Dominant Legs is the new band of ex-Girls guitarist Ryan Lynch and fellow San-Franciscan Hannah Hunt. Lynch steps up to the mic with a voice that’s been kept to himself for too long and the music combines the sun kissed guitar tones that serve Girls so well with some nice keys presumably courtesy of Hunt and a generally light vibe. Summer in a song.

Review: Wild Nothing, Becoming Real @ Camp Basement, July 26th.
The atmospheric but far from impressive sounding Camp Basement has seen two London debuts by two of our favourite new artists in as many Monday’s. Last week Toro Y Moi stepped up to the play and last night was Wild Nothing‘s turn. Also like Toro Y Moi, on record Wild Nothing is just one, namely Virginia’s Jack Tatum but both DIY artists chose the wise option of bringing a band in tow for their live dates. // more

Elizondo then uprooted once more to Vancouver, Canada while Gamez returned home to Mexico. The band continued digitally and in Dec 2009 Priscila Orfanos (vocals) joined and Mind Cinema self-recorded their debut EP ‘Sun Beat’ which you can get for FREE.

Harlem @ Hoxton Square Bar & Kitchen, Aug 23rd.
What? If you haven’t noticed we’ve got a bit of a soft spot for Texan 3-piece Harlem around these ways. Their bouncy second album ‘Hippies’ has been a mainstay on our stereo this summer and they completely kicked butt at The Lexington last month. Rejoice then in news that they’re back for another London date in Hoxton in a few weeks time.
