Introducing… Slow Motion Shoes
Slow Motion Shoes hail from Manchester and craft slick but at this stage in their career (only a couple of gigs) forgivably lo-fi electro pop. We’ve accumulated the three tracks that have so far been released to the hungry internet hordes including our appreciative selves. ‘Brendan Fraser’ came first then ‘The Quiet American’ and their latest offering is ‘Faded Colours’. Things seem to be progressing nicely.

What? Salem are John Holland, Heather Marlatt and John Donoghue hailing from Traverse City, MI and Chicago, IL. They’re just about to drop their much anticipated debut album ‘King Night’ through impressive L.A. label IAMSOUND on September 27th. This previously secret location show will mark their first UK gig. These guys have the air of dark genius about them. Just check out the awesome new video for ‘Asia’ to catch a glimpse.

Cloud Nothings – Turning On
Wichita Recordings’ latest signing Cloud Nothings is 18 year old Cleveland, Ohio talent Dylan Baldi. His slightly slacker but completely enthralling lo-fi indie nuggets are already splashed all over the internet which is perhaps why Wichita have decided to gather them all together into Cloud Nothing’s debut full length release ‘Turning On’, a collection of EPs and limited release tracks rather than an album proper. But it ain’t half good.

Preview: Toro Y Moi @ Cargo, Oct 19th.
What? Those fine folk over at Rockfeedback have booked Toro Y Moi again following the resounding success of his first sold out London headline at CAMP Basement in July. Without a shadow of a doubt one of the most exciting and talented artists to emerge either side of the Atlantic in the past couple of years. Don’t miss his last UK headline of the year.
