Kurt Vile – Smoke Ring For My Halo
One time The War On Drugs member Kurt Vile is back with his fourth album, his second for Matador Records, under his awesome Kurt Vile and The Violators moniker. Smoke Ring For My Halo follows 2009′s ‘Childish Prodigy’ and confirms Kurt as one of the finest young American songwriters out there with Bradford Cox (Deerhunter) perhaps being his main rival for the title right now.

Carnivores – Chandelier EP
Carnivores tore it up as part of our Music Mule split 7″ with Brooklyn buddies Dinosaur Feathers back in December and now they’re back with a new release through their long time label Atlanta’s Double Phantom. The free ‘Chandelier EP’ sees the band’s heavier side switched for the woozy psychedelic pop style toyed with on ‘Dressed For The Rain’ from the aforementioned split 7. Good, good!
