Hook & The Twin @ 93 Feet East, Dec 12th.
What? Hook & The Twin feature on an otherwise Kitsune Maison (but that’s no bad thing!) heavy bill for this The Playground night at 93 Feet East. One of out favourite new wonky electronic duos Hook & The Twin promise to be a highlight but there’s treats aplenty on this lineup.

Review: Fenech Soler @ 93 Feet East, Oct 1st.
The right to wear sequins has to be earned. Elvis was partial to them, but he made ‘Suspicious Minds’. So, when 75% of Fenech Soler appeared onstage looking like they’d been assaulted with a glitterball, you couldn’t help thinking they were setting the bar unnecessarily high. // more

Review: Telepathe @ 93 Feet East, May 11th.
Brooklyn duo Telepathe enchanted the 93 Feet East crowd last night with their catchy, undeniably cool brand of synth pop.
Stepping onto stage to little fanfare, Busy Gangnes and Melissa Livaudai played their set in almost complete darkness – an appropriate setting for their heavy rhythms and siren vocals. // more

The Joy Formidable @ 93 Feet East, March 28th.
What? The Joy Formidable are another of my favourite new bands in 2009. Based around the song writing of couple Ritzy (vocals/guitar) and Rhydian (backing vocals/bass). Not in a cute couple sort of way though, instead, big, often dark, soaring rock songs are the result. The band are currently out supporting Howling Bells.
