SXSW 2010: Brazos @ Home Slice Pizza
Brazos are a three-piece from Austin Texas who released our sixth favourite album of 2009 so we could hardly pass up the chance to see Martin Crane and co perform in their hometown now could we? Factor into the equation too that the band were due to play three 15 minute sets on a small outdoor stage in the sun and we had cause for serious excitement.

On Repeat: Brazos – Phosphorescent Blues
Brazos is Andy Beaudoin (Drums), Martin Crane (Vocals, Guitar, etc), & Paul Price (Electric Bass) from Austin Texas which, incidentally, is where we first discovered the band, playing a SXSW showcase earlier this very year. Martin Crane writes the songs and we’re delighted to say he’s gotten together enough for an album that’s been more than 2 years in the making. Worth the wait?

Just For Kicks – Miike Snow, Brazos & The Wooden Birds.
I love getting into new bands, it can really turn a shit day around! My love affair has started with Brazos and another new band The Wooden Birds are in line to become affair number two. Also praise worthy is Miike Snow‘s track which is the soundtrack to that hilarious video I’ve posted. // more
