What? White Heat presents: Crystal Antlers + Three Trapped Tigers. Crystal Antlers are from California and they’ve been busting their balls playing all over the place on this, their first European tour. They play punky prog rock (don’t be scared) and they play it F@£$%^G LOUD! In fact my ears have only just recovered from a personal assault by their lead guitarist. Reviews: Crystal Antlers @ The Borderline, Jan 27th.
So last night my ears were perhaps irreversibly damaged by the prog rock noise of Crystal Antlers who are out on the road for their first European tour. They played as part of a monthly club Uncut night which last month featured the entirely less noisy Department Of Eagles. The main support slot this evening was filled by another California band Delta Spirit, who were a strange choice. // more

What? Crystal Antlers. These California progsters have won a lot of praise after only one (admittedly excellent) EP produced by Ikey Owens of the Mars Volta. If you like the Mars Volta you will like these guys. Get a ticket while there are some left. // more
