Dirty Projectors continue their prolific form of 2009 with a new single comprising of a couple of tracks from their Bitte Orca recording sessions that until now hadn’t seen the light of day. ‘Ascending Melody’ is the leading track and it’s really quite something. Warm bouncing bass lines, trademark Longstreth guitar licks, vocal gymnastics, more fantastic R’n'B harmonies from the ladies and an ascending melody of course. // more

Dave Longstreth and band travel from Brooklyn to London in support of their new, critically acclaimed, album ‘Bitte Orca’. Dirty Projectors are Dave Longstreth and band. In it’s current incarnation the group now consists of Angel Deradoorian, Amber Coffman, Brian Mcomber and David as principal members. Dave is considered as somewhat of a musical visionary within the current Brooklyn scene that he has helped to spawn. ‘Stillness In The Move’ is the new single taken from Dirty Projectors forthcoming album ‘Bitte Orca’ due to be released June 9th through Domino Records. // more

What? Dirty Projectors. Dirty Projectors are one of the most innovative and unique sounding bands from a Brooklyn scene bursting with talent. Led by frontman Dave Longstreth who is regarded as somewhat of a visionary by his New York peers, Grizzly Bear to name but one.
