If you want to dig deeper you’ll find the original version of ‘Civilian’ on the album of the same name from Baltimore duo Wye Oak. Thanks to www.hauskonzerte.com for capturing this rendition of the track back in February. Catch Wye Oak at Hoxton Bar & Kitchen on June 16th if you’re in London and lucky enough to get a ticket. // more

Girls @ Hoxton Bar & Kitchen, Oct 20th.
What? Girls. We just saw San Francisco’s Girls for the first time at The Lexington playing songs from their upcoming debut long player cunningly titled ‘Album’. Album is a great record full of hazy West Coast Pop, rock’n'roll, and even a bit of shoegaze type action. It’s cool and laid back just as the band were live. What they lack in stage energy is made up for by the beautiful noise they create.
