Local Natives – Wide Eyes (Teen Daze Remix)
Vancouver’s Teen Daze is the latest addition to the glo-fi/chillwave world and what we’ve heard of his own material sounds good but a little indistinguishable from the mighty Washed Out. Here though Mr Daze remixes one of the best tracks from Local Natives excellent Gorilla Manor album and against the odds turns it into the perfect Friday summer eve dance track. Amazing!

Review: Local Natives @ Hoxton Square, Jan 19th.
It looks like it’s going to be a good year for LA’s Local Natives. Their debut album ‘Gorilla Manor’ got its UK release in Nov last year and looks like it’s going to gather steam in 2010 with their new single, the massive ‘Airplanes’, due out March 1st. Then there’s the small matter of a 33 date European tour which kicked off last night with a show at Hoxton Square Bar & Kitchen which sold out within minutes. // more

The seemingly long wait for Local Natives debut album ‘Gorilla Manor’ is almost over as Infectious Records release it on the slightly suspecting world this coming Monday, November 2nd. It’s a technicolour masterpiece nowhere near as gay but just as dazzling as Joseph’s dreamcoat!

Local Natives @ Hoxton Bar & Kitchen, Jan 19th.
Local Natives have just completed their first UK tour proper courtesy of NME and their massive radar. The L.A. boys are certainly one of our favourite new bands and obviously they didn’t go down badly on their recent dates as they’ve already booked to come back in the new year. Their debut album Gorilla Manor is out Nov 2nd. Now watch their star rise – psssssssssshhhhhhhhhh!
