Neon Indian is super talented pint sized electronic mastermind Alan Palomo from Austin, Texas. By far one of the most creative artists of the past few years he’s been the driving force behind no less than three bands: Ghostustler, Vega and most recently, Neon Indian. What? Alan Palomo a.k.a. the mighty Neon Indian has announced a one off London show at Camp Basement on May 20th. A rare chance to see the Texas electronic prodigy in action on these shores. Neon Indian is the new creative guise of one of our favourite artists, Texan Alan Palomo, formerly of Ghosthustler and still (we believe) also of Vega to name but a couple of his other projects. Neon Indian sees Mr Palomo team up with high school buddy and Brooklyn based visual artist Alicia Scardetta to complete the audio-visual attack. But it’s primarily the audio we’re concerned with and it’s a delight.

What? Neon Indian started recently as a secretive collaborative duo who make music via correspondence. Supposedly a guy from Austin and a girl from Brooklyn. It’s now in the open that the guy is Alan Palomo, the man behind two of Music Mule’s favourite electro powered bands Ghosthustler and VEGA. Neon Indian make glorious psychedelic “dream wave”.
