Beach House @ Shepherds Bush Empire, Nov 23rd.
What? Baltimore’s finest export aside from The Wire, Beach House, play their biggest London headline show to date at the O2 Shepherds Bush Empire this November. They’ve spent years slowly building a fan base (remember that?) and supporting the likes of Grizzly Bear, Fleet Foxes and far less impressive bands. Times change though and Beach House’s third album (first for Bella Union in the UK) ‘Teen Dream’ has rightly propelled them into the limelight.

The Low Anthem @ Shepherds Bush Empire, Feb 11th.
What? The Low Anthem’s debut UK album ‘Oh My God Charlie Darwin’ is set to feature high up a lot of Albums of The Year lists come December. We love the record but they are even better live. With their Tabernacle show in November sold out the band have announced this, their biggest London headline date yet at Shepherds Bush Empire in 2010.

The Temper Trap @ Shepherds Bush Empire, April 28th.
What? The Temper Trap are bigger than Jesus these days! Since moving to London earlier this year they’ve sold out shows at ICA, Heaven, Koko and now next on the list is the 2000+ Shepherds Bush Empire. They’ll undoubtedly play bigger shows than this soon so take this chance to see them at an only semi ludicrous sized venue. They certainly have the sound to fill the place. One of the best live bands there is.

The xx @ Shepherds Bush Empire, March 3rd.
What? The xx are undoubtedly South London’s band of the moment. Their self titled debut has taken the indie music world and beyond by storm and quite rightly so as it’s f**king excellent! The band only played their first headline shows in London earlier this year and now they’re playing the mammoth Empire. Let’s hope their sharp rise to fame hasn’t left them giddy.
