Kyle Thomas is a busy man. Otherwise known as the fantastic King Tuff , he’s also played guitar for Vivian Girls and is a keen painter and drawer. In addition he’s now delivered an album of the year, the self-titled debut for his new band Happy Birthday who are signed to Sub Pop. Happy Birthday is completed by Chris Weisman and Ruth Garbus (Tune Yards‘ Sister). Told you so.

On Repeat: Avi Buffalo – What’s In It For?
So while digging through a recent back log of tracks in our iTunes we stumbled across this absolute gem from new Long Beach band and recent Sub Pop signings Avi Buffalo. ‘What’s in it for?’ is the four piece’s debut single and promises much for their album to follow in Spring 2010.
