Review: Telekinesis, The Rosebuds @ The Windmill, Oct 7th.
Telekinesis’ Michael Benjamin Lerner is from Seattle but is a bit of an Anglophile it transpires this evening. He used to reside in Liverpool and can’t get enough of beans on toast and Marks and Spencer. He even admits, with a little shame, to being partial to a bit of Topman. He’s not such a fan of dodgy Liverpool fish and chips and in particular the “Mersey Brown Trout”! // more

Telekinesis, The Rosebuds @ The Windmill, Oct 7th.
What? Telekinesis of Seattle finally arrive on our shores this October. One of our highlights of SXSW 2009 and a former Music Mule interviewee, one man band Michael Lerner comes to blitz (too soon?!) the UK with his Death Cab From Cutie produced power pop. Incidentally the one man band is likely to be more than one man when playing live. One not to miss at one of our favourite London venues.
For Fans Of: Weezer, The Shins, Ra Ra Riot. // more

Interview: Telekinesis
Music Mule speaks to Telekinesis, the one man Seattle band that is Michael Benjamin Lerner. Telkinesis’ debut self-titled album, recorded on analogue tape by Chris Walla of Death Cab For Cutie, is out this week on Morr Music and is a masterful display of breezy, good time indie rock that will lighten up the darkest of days. When playing live Telekinesis becomes a four-piece with Michael taking on vocal and drum duties. The new Phil Collins? Not exactly but we’d like to see him in a Cadbury’s style Gorilla suit. // more
