    The Antlers @ Scala, May 19th.

    What? The Antlers are Brooklyn trio Peter Silberman, Michael Lerner and Darby Cicc. Thier 2009 debut album Hospice has won them a lot of fans at this early stage of the band’s existence and it’s not hard to see why. Hospice is some of the most affecting, desolate yet uplifting music this side of Bon Iver’s stunning debut.

    What? If you’re not heading to our gig of the week then go see The Antlers play one of a handful of London dates, their first in the UK, in support of their debut album ‘Hospice’. Fragile yet powerful guitar music form this Brooklyn 3-piece. They also play The Lexington this Friday if you can’t make this or just want more.

    What? White Heat presents: 12 Dirty Bullets, The Antlers. The Antlers are from Brooklyn and have recently released their debut album ‘Hospice’ through French Kiss/Orchard. It was out towards the end of last year in the States and has been building them a small army of fans ever since. Fragile guitar music and achingly beautiful high vocals building into powerful crescendos of noise. They’re in town for a handful of dates.
