We’re positively bubbling over with excitement ahead of Friday’s Friendly Fires curated gig at The Coronet which promises to be one of the shows of the year. So what better time to dip into some festive spirit and share this Friendly Fires cover of Lykke Li’s mighty ‘I’m Good I’m Gone’ tune from 2008. What? The Decemberists play a second London date on their brief UK tour. Their latest album ‘The Hazards Of Love’ is visionary front man Colin Meloy’s rock opera for which the band have enlisted the help of female vocalists Becky Stark (Lavender Diamond) and Shara Woden (My Brightest Diamond) and thrown in some epic guitar riffs that wouldn’t sound out of place in an Iron Maiden track. As you do.
