Review: The Soft Pack + CHEW LiPS @ Hoxton B&G, Feb 26th.
Holy shit The Muslims were good tonight! Sorry, I mean The Soft Pack! They used to be called The Muslims you see but a few too many feathers were ruffled (probably by comments like the one I just made) for that one to last. Anyway forget the name, tonight it’s the music that is most memorable. Like anyone I’m guilty of exaggerating from time to time but to hell with it – The Soft Pack are my favourite new band. // more

On Repeat: The Soft Pack – Nightlife
The Soft Pack used to be called The Muslims, yes it was a better name but it’s gone, let it go! Their music is great, laid back and dance inducing all at the same time. They’re from San Diego and you can practically taste the sunshine in their music. They evidently like The Stooges a bit. // more

What? Moshi Moshi presnts: The Soft Pack + CHEW LiPS. The Soft Pack have gained a lot of attention of late for changing their name from The Muslims. Apparently it wasn’t meant to be any great statement, they just liked the sound of it. But in the end too many feathers were ruffled and it was distracting from their music which is an addictive mix of The Strokes, The Stooges and Violent Femmes’ surf tinged guitar tunes. // more
