Smith Westerns @ Camp Basement June 14th

What? Upset the Rhythm presents Smith Westerns, a bunch of teens from Chicago who make gorgeous low-fi glam meets garage rock tunes the likes of which you won’t have heard in a while. Their self titled 2009 debut was our number two album of the year and there’s a follow up due out this year through their new label Fat Possum. There’s a swagger to these kids that you’re going to want to check out first hand.

Thee Oh Sees @ The Luminaire, June 5th.

What? John Dwyer is the stuff of legend in San Francisco and we’re openly in awe of his band Thee Oh Sees, especially their last effort ‘Help’, out last year on the wonderful Into The Red label. Now then these guys have a reputation for somewhat tearing it up live so we’re thankful to Upset the Rhythm for making this a Saturday gig so we can tear it up with them!
