Swn 2009 Day 1: Wild Beasts
Hardly a new discovery but who can turn down the opportunity to see the awesome Wild Beasts in the flesh? Well we’ve actually done it once already this year and that was an error. Wild Beasts second album ‘Two Dancers’ is one of the best of the year so far and it’s great to see the band effortlessly rolling through their increasingly impressive catalogue live.

On Repeat: Wild Beasts – Two Dancers.
Two Dancers is the second album from Kendal four-piece Wild Beasts. It builds on the promise of their Domino Records debut ‘Limbo Panto’ and sees the band combining their trademark oddness with some awesome Johnny Marr style guitar licks and booty shaking percussion. The result? One of the best albums of the year so far.

Wild Beasts @ The Garage, Oct 8th.
What? Wild Beasts are against the odds set to become one of the indie bands of 2009 and possibly beyond following the release of their second album ‘Two Dancers’. We’ve been fans of the Kendal four-piece since their theatrical Domino released debut ‘Limbo Panto’ and they’ve already treated us to one of the live performances of the year back in February.

Review: Wild Beasts @ 93 Feet East, Feb 24th.
Unlike at The Walkmen on Friday there was no big queue to be met outside the Wild Beasts show at 93 Feet East in Brick Lane yesterday evening, in fact to the unsuspecting eye you’d never even have guessed there was a gig going on. It’s not a sign of the lack of popularity of the bands playing but the opposite. You see the lineup tonight from start to finish this is top-drawer stuff so everyone’s inside early with bums on limited seats. // more
